Welcome to Swanmore Parish Council
Serving our community in rural Hampshire
Swanmore is a rural village situated in the Meon Valley, Hampshire. The Parish Council is made up of ten elected councillors, supported by a team of Council Officers. The Council’s primary objective is to support, maintain and develop facilities in Swanmore for the benefit of all residents, workers and visitors, regardless of age, disability, race or gender.
The responsibilities of the Parish Council are wide-ranging and are set out in Acts of Parliament. These powers include matters relating to planning, open spaces, recreational facilities, certain footpaths, street lighting, community transport, street furniture, allotments, bus shelters and community events.
Our vision is clear: to make Swanmore a great place to live and work, where families thrive, businesses grow and the countryside is respected. Every decision we make and support must contribute to achieving this goal.
