Accredited Community Safety Officers
Swanmore Parish Council employ two Accredited Community Safety Officers. As well as working part-time in Swanmore, both Gary and Sarah work across several areas within the Meon Valley, including; Whiteley, Shedfield, Waltham Chase, Shirrell Heath, Soberton, and Owslebury.
As ACSOs, Gary and Sarah work closely with the police and partner agencies to help make Swanmore a safer place to live and work. Their role goes beyond tackling anti-social behaviour and preventing crime, they provide guidance, shares useful information, and helps direct residents and visitors to the right resources on all aspects of community safety.
Gary and Sarah carry out regular patrols, respond to reports from the public, and work proactively to prevent issues before they escalate. By building strong relationships within the community, they act as a key link between residents and local services, helping to create a safer, more connected place to live and work.
